I have an older external hard drive that was previously used with a Mac. I now have a Windows mini PC and Windows isn’t recognising the drive. The drive has a large number of movie and TV files on it which I am unable to access. I need someone experienced with Mac/Windows hard drives to convert/reformat the external hard drive so it can be used with Windows going forward, without losing any existing files on it. Please ask any questions!

This is a custom electronics/maker craft project to convert an obsolete vintage laptop shell into a wall-mounted decorative ambient lamp. Task Description > Overview: > Looking for an experienced maker, electronics hobbyist, or repair tech to convert a vintage 2006/2008 Black MacBook (Model A1181) into a custom wall-mounted ambient LED sconce. > Scope of Work: > * Teardown: Completely gut the laptop's internal parts (remove logic board, heatsink, battery, optical drive, and LCD glass matrix) to hollow out the casing and drop the weight. Keep the outer shell, keyboard top-case, bezel, and translucent rear Apple logo window completely intact. > * LED Installation: Install a 12V/24V RGBCCT COB (dotless) LED strip inside the hollow display lid behind the Apple logo and along the lower rim. > * Wiring & Controller: Wire the strip to a micro Zigbee LED controller (e.g., Gledopto Mini) so it pairs natively with my Philips Hue setup. Route a clean DC power cable neatly out through the back of the laptop body. > * Wall Mount Setup: Prepare or attach mounting hardware on the rear so the laptop hangs flush on the wall with the screen held slightly ajar to cast an ambient light wash down the wall. > Parts & Reimbursement: > * I supply: The Black MacBook A1181. > * Parts Reimbursement: I will fully reimburse you for all required electrical and hardware components (COB LED strip, Zigbee controller, power supply, wiring, mounting hardware). You can either purchase these and invoice/add them via Airtasker with receipts, or specify exact items for me to order ahead of time. > Requirements: > * Experience with basic custom electronics, precision teardowns (iFixit tools), and clean LED wiring. > * Must be located in Sydney (can be completed at your home workshop or on-site).

Details: * New Tangerine NBN connection. * Tangerine has confirmed I do not require an NBN connection box and that the modem should connect directly via an RJ11/XDSL cable. * The property has multiple wall sockets (coax and RJ45/telephone style), and I need help identifying the correct active DSL outlet. * I have already tested the coax outlets and they do not appear to be the correct connection for this service. * I have the modem on-site, but the supplied cable does not match the wall socket, so the technician may need to provide or recommend the correct cable (RJ45 to RJ11/RJ12 if required). Tasks: * Identify the correct DSL/telephone outlet in the property. * Verify the NBN service is reaching the premises. * Supply/use the correct cable if required. * Configure and connect the modem. * Confirm the internet is working before leaving. Please bring: * RJ11, RJ12 and RJ45 DSL cables/adapters. * Basic networking/NBN testing equipment if available.

I produced my post-doctoral research in 2006, before hotlinks really worked within documents. I made it as multiple HTML standalone docs, with links to standalone jpgs and other artefacts. This worked for Web publication on a site allowing nested folders. I want to self publish as a single document on my simple, WordPress Web page. I am looking for someone to combine all of the HTML's into one, single document, with all of the artefacts in place instead of as separate files. There will need to be hotlink within the document, to allow the viewer to go to the detail, then go back. So there'll be around 100 appendices. No editing is to be done to text, everything is very clear and well organised, and there are almost no links to external web pages. Its just about making one, long document from hundreds of small ones. I will provide as a zip file.
