However, if that’s not viable, I’ve purchased a replacement handle set (lever style with bathroom turn/release and matching latch) that can be fitted instead. I need a handy man for 2 small jobs today: 1. To install a new lock on a bedroom door. I’ve tried myself however I can’t seem to get the lock and door handle to line up enough for the spindle to fit through (out by only a couple of millimetres). It may need additional carving in the slot on the side of the door to help it line up properly. The old lock has already been removed and I’ve bought the new one (see picture). 2. The sliding doors for one of the cupboards has come off its rail slightly (see picture) and is difficult to slide open and close as a result. If you could have a look and try to fix the doors back onto the rails so they move smoothly.
