Hello, I manage a flat council came for inspection and requested the following: Fire-Resisting Doors - Kitchen • Supply and fit in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions, self-closer, cold smoke brushes or seals and intumescent strips to the kitchen door, certified to FD30S standard. 2. In total 4 doors they are already all fire doors, chain self closer already on all doors but has been unscrews from previous tenant so need to adjust and screw back to one side so that door close itself properly. Regarding cold smoke brushes or seals and intumescent stripsn d to be fitted on all 4 doors seems like there is already something on top of the doors but will need to be done all sides I believe please provide quotes including material only thing needed : cold smoke brushes or seals and intumescent strips for 4 doors

The work required includes: • Install a 30-minute fire-rated (FD30) fire door to the kitchen. • Plasterboard the soffit, spandrel and understairs cabinet door using 30-minute fire-resistant plasterboard. • Provide ventilation to the gas meter cupboard at the base of the door in accordance with the recommendations: Create ventilation by undercutting the cupboard door along the full width at floor level to achieve an opening not exceeding 150 square millimetres (6 square inches). • Make good and finish all affected areas. I need a skilled carpenter to repair a damaged timber door frame and hang a new solid oak fire door. The door is heavy (42kg), so I am looking for someone with the appropriate tools and experience. Scope of Work: 1. Remove and dispose of old door 2. Structural Frame Repair: The current timber jamb is badly splintered at the strike points as a result of a locksmith needing to use force to break in (see photos). Needs a professional repair so the frame is structurally sound again. 3. Door Hanging: Hang a new Victorian 4-Panel Oak FD30 Fire Door (1981mm x 838mm x 44mm). Trim as needed - the floor is uneven and will need some trimming, and likely a timber threshold strip fitted to manage the gap on the high side. The door has 20mm solid oak lippings to accommodate this. 4. Hardware Installation: - Install 3x Grade 13 hinges - Consolidate Locks: Remove three existing locks from the old setup. Finishing: Ensure the 44mm door sits flush in the 46mm frame rebate. Patch/fill the old lock holes in the frame so it is ready for sanding/painting.
