We have just moved in to a property that has a ceiling fan and light in the hallway. The light works but the fan does not. The previous tenant said it did not work and when a previous electrician came out said it was missing a connection/wire that prevented it from working. We are hoping this is incorrect and would like another opinion as we are not sure why a fan would be installed yet not work.
