Find an experienced local plumber in Lambeth

Looking for an experienced Gas Safe registered heating engineer/plumber to come to my flat in Kennington/Oval on Wednesday 30 September to look at two issues: 1. Baxi boiler / central heating system * Baxi Megaflo 24 System ErP, installed around 2016/17 when the flat was built. * The boiler/system is currently working, but the pressure gradually drops and needs topping up roughly once a week. * I’d like someone to diagnose why it is losing pressure and check for obvious issues such as the expansion vessel, pressure relief valve, filling loop or a leak elsewhere in the system. * The boiler is approaching 10 years old and hasn’t been serviced since I moved in during 2023, so I’d also like a proper boiler service/check while you’re here. * I’m particularly keen to make sure the system is reliable before winter and before I rent the flat out while travelling. 2. Leaking shower temperature control The thermostatic temperature dial on one of the showers is leaking around the control/faceplate area (photos attached). I’d like this investigated and, if it’s a straightforward cartridge/seal/washer issue, repaired at the same visit. Please only offer if you are Gas Safe registered and comfortable diagnosing both boiler/heating-system pressure issues and shower plumbing. I’m looking to spend around £150 for the visit/service and straightforward repairs. I have an Airtasker voucher worth £200, but this needs to cover the total including Airtasker fees, so please bear that in mind when making an offer. If replacement parts or more substantial work are required, I’m happy for you to diagnose the issue and quote me before doing anything additional. Timing is important: the voucher expires at the end of September, so I specifically need someone who can attend Wednesday 30 September. I can provide additional photos/details beforehand if helpful.

I have a tap filter and shower filter. I need them both fixed. And I have a bathroom drain that’s clogged. I need it unclogged.

simple drain unblocking - lid has falled down and is stuck in sink. toilet flush seems to be weak

sink is blocked, we have had plumbers previously to sort this issue, but now it seems to be returning weekly, pipes probably need to be taken apart and thoroughly cleaned

I have a boiler which has stopped working. I showed it to a plumber and he told me it needed a new Hot Water Actuator Valve but is quoting me ridiculous price for it when I know it is not that expensive. I need a plumber who can source this and fix my boiler.

Need to have kitchen pipes cleaning. This inspires washing machine and sink pipes

I need an experienced bathroom contractor / plumber to inspect and carry out repairs in a shower cubicle in my flat. Issues to address: • Shower cubicle sealant appears worn / damaged and likely needs to be removed and re-sealed • Shower drain / trap may have restricted flow and needs to be checked and unclogged if necessary • There is a visible gap behind the shower head / pipe entry point, which needs to be assessed and sealed if appropriate • Please also check whether there are any signs of water escaping from the shower area Important context: • This is not a full bathroom renovation, only inspection and repair of the above issues • We recently moved in, so we are not sure when the current sealant was last done • Please bring tools and materials needed for inspection and standard bathroom sealing works • Experience with shower cubicles, sealant replacement, and minor plumbing issues is preferred Please quote for: 1. Inspection / call-out 2. Drain unblocking if needed 3. Full removal and replacement of shower sealant 4. Any additional cost if sealing around the shower head area is required Please also confirm: • your availability • whether you have done similar shower leak / resealing jobs before • how long the job is likely to take
