Install a flush-mount ceiling fan with integrated LED light (Philips Olas, ~106cm diameter, ~31cm drop, ~4.2kg) in my bedroom, replacing an existing pendant. I'll supply the fan and its installation manual. The ceiling is plasterboard with a concrete structural slab above and a ~26cm void between them, with ventilation ducting running through the void and no timber joists. The fan needs to be fixed to the concrete slab — either anchored directly, or via a timber batten/bearer that is itself fixed back to the slab — at a point clear of the ducting. The plasterboard must carry no load. I understand the ceiling will need to be opened up to form the fixing and then closed. Existing supply is a pendant on a central ceiling rose. I'd like the fan wired into this and run off the existing wall switch, with fan, light and speed on the included remote.
