Hi there, We are looking for an experienced and meticulous professional to prepare an interior real brick wall for a mural. The key challenge is that this is in a finished, carpeted room. The #1 priority is protecting all surrounding surfaces (carpet, black trim, ceiling) from any dust or mess. The Space: • Wall Type: Real brick (see photo) • Dimensions: Roughly 5m wide x 3.6m high (approx. 18 sqm). To be confirmed after site visit. • Location: Interior, finished room with carpet. • Access: Good, clear access to the wall. Full Scope of Work: 1. Full & Meticulous Protection: You must bring all protective materials (drop cloths, plastic sheeting, tape) to completely mask and protect the carpet, black ceiling beams, black wall trim, ceiling fan, and adjacent walls. 2. Render: Apply a traditional cement render (scratch coat) to the brick wall. 3. Smooth Skim Coat: Apply a smooth-set plaster skim coat over the render. The final finish needs to be perfectly flat and smooth (Level 5 equivalent) as it will be a canvas for a mural. 4. Painting: After the new plaster has fully cured (please advise timeline), seal the wall with a render primer and paint it with 2-3 coats of high-quality white paint. I need a small section of bathroom wall re-sheeted to get the house rental-ready. The wall is approx. 1.6m high x 2m wide, currently exposed brick (previously had plasterboard). Job includes: Supply and install waterproof board (Villaboard or equivalent WR plasterboard). Secure to brick with adhesive and masonry screws. Tape and set the joins/screw holes for a paint-ready finish. I will handle painting once the wall is prepped.
