Hello, same job, but just been away for holiday. Lost all the contacts before. I have some(15-18 pieces) Baltic pine 152mm *20 mm that were damaged by borer attacks. The floor board is structural. I would like them to be replace and make the floor look fresh. I have not sourced any timber yet, I’m happy if you could provide materials too or help me sourcing them.

I’m looking for an experienced carpenter or flooring specialist to repair squeaky timber flooring on the first floor of an older house in Castle Hill. The job includes inspecting and fixing any loose or moving floorboards to eliminate squeaks. Access underneath the floor is excellent because much of the downstairs ceiling gyprock has already been removed. The underside of the stairs is also accessible. The attached floor plan shows the areas to inspect (all blue areas except the bathrooms). This job is only for repairing the squeaks and movement. Sanding and finishing will be posted as separate jobs.

Have existing concrete steps that I’m looking at framing up so then can create a timber steps down towards the driveway.

I have a floating timber staircase that has been stained dark brown and sealed. I would like all timber components of the staircase sanded back evenly to clean, bare timber, ready for a new lighter stain. The staircase has a glass balustrade with black metal fixings. The priority is an evenly prepared surface while preserving the integrity of the timber. Requirements - Dust-controlled sanding (essential). Sanders must be connected directly to professional vacuum/dust extraction equipment. Must minimise airborne sanding dust inside the house as much as reasonably possible. - The glass balustrade, flooring, walls and black metal hardware must be properly protected throughout the work. - Care must be taken not to scratch the glass with sanding equipment or abrasive dust. - Preserve square timber profiles. I do not want the tread edges or nosings rounded over. - Small areas around glass fixings and other locations that can’t be reached properly with a larger sander will need appropriate detail/hand sanding. - No chemical stripping unless discussed and agreed with me beforehand. - Please do not apply any stain, oil, sealer, polyurethane or other finishing product as part of this initial job. - The timber should be left clean and ready for staining. Final sanding grit should be appropriate for stairs and subsequent staining. I am looking for someone who has genuine experience with timber floor/stair sanding or timber refinishing, rather than general handyman sanding. Potential additional work There are multiple opportunities for further paid work if I am happy with the quality of this job. This may include: - Returning to stain and finish this staircase once the new colour/finish has been selected; - Sanding and staining a separate timber staircase in my loft; and - Sanding and staining a separate timber flooring. I would therefore particularly like to find someone experienced in high-quality timber refinishing who I can potentially use for the complete project.

The handrail has already been mostly prepared. I just need someone with the right tools and attention to detail to carry out the final sanding so it's smooth and ready for staining or clear coating.
