Looking for someone experienced to clean, prepare and stain our raised timber deck and fence posts around the deck (see pics). The deck is approximately 3 m × 4 m (around 12 m²), plus the timber posts. The timber is weathered, so please assess the preparation needed and include it in your offer. I will supply the stain; please bring your own tools and let me know if you recommend a particular product or number of coats. The deck sits above a shed and is accessed by ladder. Please make sure you can work safely at this height and bring any equipment needed. There is a children’s cubby and a slide nearby, so care will be needed to protect them and the surrounding area. Included: timber deck boards and posts. Excluded: shed cladding and metal balustrade. Please specify what preparation is included, whether sanding is needed, and how many coats you propose. No repairs or board replacement are included unless agreed separately.

Sanding timber decks and stairs - Front porch is about 2.25m x 4.9m. Back porch is about 2m x 2.15m. While I have put in a budget for this, happy to negotiate (reasonably) as I have no concept of what is appropriate for a task like this.

The laundry floor is soft and sinks when weight is applied, along the wall near the skirting. I suspect water damage to the subfloor from a past leak. There is staining at the base of the skirting and some deterioration of the timber trims.

I have a small section of floorboards (380 × 680mm) that is open and needs to be filled with matching boards. I have the matching leftover floorboards ready to use in sizing 330x2100mm I need an experienced flooring/carpentry person to cut the boards to size and securely install them so the finished section is neat and level with the existing floor.

Looking for someone to clean, prepare and oil two small outdoor timber decks. Total area is approximately 8–10 m². Deck 1 – Lightwell: Approx. 1m x 2m. Clear and pull back climbing vines that are encroaching onto the decking boards and fence line. Clean and prepare the timber. Deck 2 – Courtyard: Approx. 1.8m x 3m. Clear surface dirt and prepare the timber. Cleaning/Prep: Wash and scrub both decks using an appropriate deck cleaner to remove dirt, mildew and grey weathering. Allow the timber to dry thoroughly before oiling. Oiling: Apply two coats of suitable decking oil, following the manufacturer's recommended drying time between coats. Materials: Please include all deck cleaner, decking oil and other consumable materials required for the job in your quote. Access: Both decks are ground-level with straightforward access. Water and power are available. The main priority is a clean, neat and well-prepared finish rather than extensive restoration of the timber.

I have approximately 70 square meters of timber deck that I want painted grey. I will supply paint it will need 2 coats. Needs to be cut in around some edges and it has 2 sets of stairs I have pressure washed the deck and it’s ready to go

I recently had a hot water leak in the laundry that spilled into the adjoining kitchen / hall area. At the time, all visible water was removed and professional dehumidifiers /dryers were used, so I believed everything had dried properly. I was then away overseas and have just returned to find that sections of the floating timber flooring have started to buckle/lift and gaps have appeared between some boards. Approximately 5-6 boards are affected. They also had a heavy piece of furniture pushing pressure onto it which may have contributed to the uneven expansion / shrinkage. The floors were already older / not in perfect condition, so I’m not looking to replace the entire floor. I’m hoping to salvage and repair the existing boards wherever possible. I’m looking for an experienced timber flooring specialist who can assess the affected area, including checking the timber and underneath for residual / trapped moisture. I understand the repair may need to be completed in two stages: initially lifting / removing the affected boards so the area underneath can be properly inspected and, if necessary, allowed to dry completely; then returning once moisture levels are appropriate to relay / reseat and repair the existing flooring. Ideally you will have a moisture meter and experience with water-damaged floating timber floors. The priority is making sure everything underneath is properly dry before the floor is closed back up, while preserving as much of the existing flooring as possible. I have ripped up all of the old carpet from four rooms but need someone to remove all of the staples around the edge of the rooms and clean the floors so they are ready to be oiled

Small deck 1.3m x 1.2m Need to replace the timber boards

We are planning on having vinyl flooring installed. Currently the floor is too uneven and squeaky for the flooring company to do the install. We'd like the floor made level and even and the squeaks eliminated. The floor in the hallway, three of the rooms, and a wardrobe is old hardwood timber planks and in a fourth room the floor is large plywood sheets, photos attached. The total area is approximately 60m^2. There's also some gaps that need filling too. It's on the second floor of a house.
