I have a box gutter located in the valley of two gable roofs that discharges into a Colorbond metal sump. The system functions well during heavy rain, and there is an active overflow pipe installed at a high level. The base of the sump has a slight fall issue, and does not entirely slope cleanly toward the 90mm downpipe drop. A small amount of water remains trapped on one side of the sump base after rain. The sump is made of Colorbond metal and is 500mm long x 180mm wide x 300mm deep. I am looking for a qualified roof plumber or waterproofing specialist to inspect and recommend the best, most durable way to address this. Thank you for looking into this.

Hi, We have a dead rat or mouse in our roof cavity above a study. There is no access to the cavity so to remove the rodent the roof sheeting will need to be lifted. Looking for a trade that has experience with roof sheeting and will be able to ensure there are no leaks after the roofing is put back down.

UPDATE: I have had a builder look into this, the solution would be the remove the gutter and realign it. The gutter is in working condition and was adjusted by a Tradie who had no experience in gutters. I need the two gutters taken off and realigned to go down two down pipes. Should be experienced with gutters and down pipes. I need flashing supplied and installed above the gutter at the front of my house, along the front verandah roofline of a Federation home. There is a gap between the timber fascia/eaves and the gutter line where water and pests can get in. I need colorbond or zincalume flashing custom fitted and sealed along this section to close the gap properly. Details: Single storey verandah, easily accessible with a ladder Approx. 4 to 6 metres of flashing required (to be confirmed on site) Photos attached showing the gap and the front of the house Must be neat and weathertight, colour matched to cream/off white trim preferred You will need to supply materials, ladder and tools. One window section is about 5m long (has a curve in it) and will be mounted in gyprock sheeting and the other is about 3m and is straight and will be mounted on a plastered ceiling. The manhole in our house has been left open. There is a piece of white plywood here that just needs to be cut to size. We need someone with a tall ladder who can measure up, cut the wood, and slot it in there. Should be a very quick / simple job.
