Looking for an experienced handyman or roof plumber to repair and re-secure a section of modern box/quad guttering on a multi-story exterior wall. Need to do the following: Re-secure & Realign: Fix a loose section of the gutter that has pulled away from the wall line to ensure proper fall towards the outlet. Leak Repair: Inspect, clean, and reseal joints, end caps, or outlet points (water continues to slow-drip long after rain stops). Clear Blockages: Check the immediate gutter section and drop outlet for debris causing water pooling. Access & Site Details: Ladder or tall extension ladder required (2-story height access required). Photos are attached showing the specific corner, capped outlet, and gutter alignment. Materials: Please bring appropriate outdoor roof sealant/silicone and standard gutter fasteners. Requirements: • Must have experience working at heights safely. • Please bring your own ladder and tools.

We have four corners that need sealing so our new puppy can’t escape. We have some leftover fence palings that could be secured to the house and fence.

Hi, We have a dead rat or mouse in our roof cavity above a study. There is no access to the cavity so to remove the rodent the roof sheeting will need to be lifted. Looking for a trade that has experience with roof sheeting and will be able to ensure there are no leaks after the roofing is put back down.

We have an apartment on darling street Balmain and it gets pretty noisy specially at night with the bus and people. If anyone can help reduce the noise of the place that would be great

We're looking for an experienced roofer (ideally two people, as roof access requires carrying a portable ladder) to investigate ongoing leaks on our heritage commercial building in Balmain. Earlier this year we had work done that included replacing flashing, resealing holes from old rusted screws, and relining our box gutter with fibreglass — but we're still experiencing leaks. Our current suspicion is that the issue may be related to an overhanging window awning near the parapet wall, but we'd love a professional set of eyes to assess and advise. **The job involves:** - Inspecting the roof and identifying the likely source/s of the leak - Reviewing the previous repair work (flashing, resealed screw holes, fibreglass box gutter lining) - Assessing the parapet/awning area as a potential cause - Providing recommendations on how to fix it Photos available on request. The roof is corrugated iron with a parapet wall, box gutters, and several whirlybirds. **Parking:** Street parking only in Balmain. We may be able to provide a council parking permit to make this easier — please ask when getting in touch. **Budget: $150–$300 for inspection/assessment**, with repairs to be quoted separately depending on findings. We're prepared to proceed with work on the same day if the scope is straightforward

We’ve been hearing scratching/running noises in the ceiling and walls, mostly at night. Looking for someone to: • Inspect roof cavity and external entry points • Identify whether it’s rats, possums, or something else • Advise on best fix • Seal entry points / carry out basic repairs if possible • Set traps or organise pest treatment if required Would prefer someone with experience dealing with older Sydney terrace houses.
