After recent removal of floor-based air conditioning unit the (now uncovered) flu/ vent opening needs to be closed and patched-up. Please remove MDF frame (2nd photo) as well. In-wall cavity should be closed/ sealed with insulation batt, if advisable. Pill-shaped flu/ vent opening is only 20cm in diameter, but maybe 50x50 square section is easier to patch.
