Looking for someone to stain three timber decks at a property in Hurstbridge. The decks have just been professionally cleaned with stripping chemicals, so they should be ready to stain. I'd like you to supply the stain as well as the labour — please include materials in your offer and tell me what product you plan to use. About the photos: two of the three decks are shown as they are now, straight after the clean. The rear deck photo is an old one — I'll swap it for a current shot next time I'm at the house. I've also attached a photo of the front decks after their last stain so you can see the colour and finish I'm after. I'm having trouble getting offical measurements, but I can head out to verify before we agree on the final price. My estimate is 60m2. In the mean time, I've picked an arbitrary budget. There's a key lock box at the property, so you can let yourself in and out — no need to coordinate with me on the day. The house will be empty. There are 2 timber decks that have weathered over time, One is 6m x 3m and has a seat on both sides (shown in photo). The other is 3m x 2.6m and is not so weathered as the main deck. Both have 2 stairs leading up to them. They both need sanding to get back to original so they can be re-oiled.

I have one very small burn mark (approximately 10–15 mm) on a timber-look floorboard. Looking for someone experienced in cosmetic timber/laminate/hybrid floor repairs to remove/fill the damaged area, professionally colour-match the existing flooring and recreate the grain/finish so the repair is as unnoticeable as possible. Spot repair preferred — I do not want the entire floor sanded or a board replaced unless absolutely necessary. I have burn marks on my timber flooring.There are about 4-5 spots, the largest around 2cm across, located near my dining table. Looking for someone experienced in timber floor repair to assess the damage and advise on the best fix ,whether that's sanding and spot-refinishing, using a filler/burn-in repair kit, or replacing the affected board(s). Holes on engineered timber flooring, need to repair. Pls help! We are ending our lease and need to patch these up, 2 of them still have the screw inside, they need to be pulled out, filled and colour matched with the floor. There are 9 holes in total.

Looking to polish timber floors, 2 rooms approx 3x3 m each plus living area. The third bedroom has vinyl flooring which we like removed to polish the timber floor underneath. Looking for someone to clean, prepare and oil two small outdoor timber decks. Total area is approximately 8–10 m². Deck 1 – Lightwell: Approx. 1m x 2m. Clear and pull back climbing vines that are encroaching onto the decking boards and fence line. Clean and prepare the timber. Deck 2 – Courtyard: Approx. 1.8m x 3m. Clear surface dirt and prepare the timber. Cleaning/Prep: Wash and scrub both decks using an appropriate deck cleaner to remove dirt, mildew and grey weathering. Allow the timber to dry thoroughly before oiling. Oiling: Apply two coats of suitable decking oil, following the manufacturer's recommended drying time between coats. Materials: Please include all deck cleaner, decking oil and other consumable materials required for the job in your quote. Access: Both decks are ground-level with straightforward access. Water and power are available. The main priority is a clean, neat and well-prepared finish rather than extensive restoration of the timber.

I have approximately 70 square meters of timber deck that I want painted grey. I will supply paint it will need 2 coats. Needs to be cut in around some edges and it has 2 sets of stairs I have pressure washed the deck and it’s ready to go

I recently had a hot water leak in the laundry that spilled into the adjoining kitchen / hall area. At the time, all visible water was removed and professional dehumidifiers /dryers were used, so I believed everything had dried properly. I was then away overseas and have just returned to find that sections of the floating timber flooring have started to buckle/lift and gaps have appeared between some boards. Approximately 5-6 boards are affected. They also had a heavy piece of furniture pushing pressure onto it which may have contributed to the uneven expansion / shrinkage. The floors were already older / not in perfect condition, so I’m not looking to replace the entire floor. I’m hoping to salvage and repair the existing boards wherever possible. I’m looking for an experienced timber flooring specialist who can assess the affected area, including checking the timber and underneath for residual / trapped moisture. I understand the repair may need to be completed in two stages: initially lifting / removing the affected boards so the area underneath can be properly inspected and, if necessary, allowed to dry completely; then returning once moisture levels are appropriate to relay / reseat and repair the existing flooring. Ideally you will have a moisture meter and experience with water-damaged floating timber floors. The priority is making sure everything underneath is properly dry before the floor is closed back up, while preserving as much of the existing flooring as possible. Multiple small gaps in floorboards , need small gaps filled with wood coloured gap filler. House is on piers- easy access. Easy job- I can’t do it as I’ve just had surgery.
