As a result the carpet is not level and the top of the stair is dangerous. Looking for a sharp carpenter to level off that area of the floor so that the edge of the carpet finishes nice and near at the top of the stair. There has been some damage to two or three floorboards - specifically dints that have mostly just ruined the aesthetic of the floorboard not so much its utility. I don’t think they need to be fully replaced, as the dints are only ~1-3 mm deep. Could potentially use wood filler and sand it out, but I’m not confident enough to do it myself. Ideally looking at a price range of $200-400 for the repairs, as there are only ~2-3 boards that may need a bit of the wood filler and sanding out. Happy to send videos of them so you guys can see if the damage is actually major and needs to be replaced, but so far I don’t think we need a job that big :) - Due date: Flexible
