I’m looking for an experienced handyman to fix my apartment entry door in South Melbourne. The door has always been difficult to open. It rubs against the top of the door frame for approximately the first 20–30 cm of opening before moving freely. I have already: * Tightened and checked all hinge screws (they are secure). * Identified the contact area along the top edge. * Lightly sanded the top edge, which improved the door slightly, but it is still sticking. The door is a heavy apartment entry (fire-rated) door with a hydraulic closer. I’m looking for someone who can: * Diagnose the cause of the rubbing. * Adjust the door if possible. * Plane or sand the door only if necessary. * Ensure the door opens and closes smoothly while maintaining proper operation. Need two hollow internal doors hung. Existing hinges are in place. New doors came with only half hinges. Also need the handles put in holes have been pre cut by supplier.

I accidentally pulled this sliding door hard and now the top wheels have disconnected from the rails. the roller or guide has simply disengaged. I need help with connecting it back safely. The latch on my window has broken off. I need some one to screw/glue it back on with new screws. I also have a power point that has come loose from the wall and need it to be re attached. However, there doesn’t seem to be any structure for the PowerPoint to go in aside from the plasterboard. Lastly, the fire alarm is not existent and I need the hole covered up. I’m looking for an all-in-one tradie that thinks they can do all three tasks. My location is right in front of the train station and can be a little bit hard for parking but I’m happy to pay for street parking and assist you carrying gear if necessary.
