I need help improving my internet speeds and WiFi, I have fibre to the house, with speeds at the Telstra Modem of 500Mbps .. however the Google next I have set up (3 units ) scattered across two floors, only records 40MBps (at best). I have recently also installed 2 x Ubiquiti UniFi in ceiling which are directly connected by Cat 6 cable to the Modem. However when both running get very slow speeds. Need help to set up an internet and wifi environment that works.

The Building has NBN. She has a router in the kitchen with a TGP SIM card. I think it connects wirelessly. (Unsure) The wifi drops out for days at a time. I reset at the weekend The NBN and router seemed fine when I was trying to fix it. I wondered if it was connection - but my sister said the cable is new. After resetting it worked but its dropped out twice since then. I live in the country and cannot be on hand to help her. She needs a reliable fix. Mum is very on top of things (no dementia etc) she listens to music, loves Netflix, Prime, ABC Iview, YouTube etc on the two TV, uses an iPad for her emails and has an iPhone. Most of her day is at home enjoying these apps. We really need to fix the drop outs to keep her enjoying life and not stressed.

I have a working modem/internet connection and a Linksys Velop mesh Wi-Fi system that I’m having trouble setting up. Looking for someone experienced with Linksys/mesh networks to connect the main Velop to the modem, set up the additional nodes/extenders around the house and make sure everything is connected and working properly before leaving. All equipment is already here.

Hello We’re seeking a Wi-Fi expert or guru, we have an existing Wi-Fi system that has signal issues in one of the back bedrooms, I purchased a mesh network (three unit) and then suddenly became out of my depth, Looking for someone to come assess the issues install the new mesh network onto the existing Wi-Fi and improve the signal strength throughout the property. Currently have a rack mounted router that via Cat six cable goes to a roof mounted Wi-Fi unit. This seems to the most of the property that drops to near zero strength in one of the back bedrooms. Also tidy up a slight bird nest of multiple Cat5 and six cables going into the rack Put $10 as a budget clearly it’s going to cost more than this, I prefer a fixed price if possible, but I understand it’ll be difficult to quote until you know what you’re dealing with, Flexible on date and time

Details: * New Tangerine NBN connection. * Tangerine has confirmed I do not require an NBN connection box and that the modem should connect directly via an RJ11/XDSL cable. * The property has multiple wall sockets (coax and RJ45/telephone style), and I need help identifying the correct active DSL outlet. * I have already tested the coax outlets and they do not appear to be the correct connection for this service. * I have the modem on-site, but the supplied cable does not match the wall socket, so the technician may need to provide or recommend the correct cable (RJ45 to RJ11/RJ12 if required). Tasks: * Identify the correct DSL/telephone outlet in the property. * Verify the NBN service is reaching the premises. * Supply/use the correct cable if required. * Configure and connect the modem. * Confirm the internet is working before leaving.
