Roof material: metal; Size: less than 10sqm house: single storey The main supporting post of the porch roof is sinking. It has caused some damage to the wooden deck and railing. The base of the post is cracked and splintered, and the deck boards in that area are also damaged. it is also pulling the railings out of alignment. Some screws have been prised out as a result. Also, during heavy rain, I have noticed leaking from underneath the porch roof. I am unsure whether the roof is worth repairing or if demolition and removal would be the safer option. Although I am open to demolishing the porch roof altogether, I am unsure of the implications of doing so. Please note it's not a easy job and I need a qualified person or company to do the job.
