Looking for a handyman/carpenter to insulate and internally finish a 15ft x 8ft timber garden shed/summer house. Scope of work: Install insulation to walls and roof (foil/multifoil or equivalent). Tape and seal insulation joints where required. Fit thin plywood (approx. 3–6mm) or similar boarding over the insulation to provide a neat finish suitable for occasional home office use. Floor does NOT require insulation or covering. Shed dimensions: approximately 15ft x 8ft. Please note: This is not a full garden office conversion. No plasterboard, plastering, skimming, decorating, electrics or floor works are required. I am simply looking for the walls and roof to be insulated and neatly covered with thin plywood (or similar sheet material) to provide a clean, practical finish suitable for occasional use as a home office. I need my garden office insulated, laminate flooring installed and painted inside.

An area of the loft needs boarding up so can be used as a wardrobe. The door needs moving back and a new partition wall added. The roof has old insulation that needs replacing. Some wooden floor we have left needs putting down in a v small area to match.

Hi there, I started renovating my summer house myself but unfortunately don’t have the time to complete the project, so I’m looking for someone to come in and finish it properly. Work required includes: * Roof insulation to be completed (walls have already been partially insulated) * Internal cladding of the walls/ceiling with plywood * Lino flooring supplied/fitted * Installation of a proper secure lock on the door * Window beading to be fitted/finished * General touch-ups to the existing paintwork using barn paint to make everything look tidy and finished The structure is already in place and some of the prep work has been started, so it’s mainly a case of completing and tidying the project to a good standard.

1) Carefully remove all floorboards downstairs and set aside. 2) install timber battens between joists 3) install rigid insulation minimum 50mm thick between floor joist, above battens. 4) underfloor heating pipework installed between joists (materials supplied by us). Joists to be notched where required to allow pipework to pass through 5) dry sand a cement mix screed to the placed between joists above underfloor heating pipework and levelled flat. 6) fix down floorboards over the top of all, fixing floorboards into the joists.
