Hi, I’m looking for a plumber to investigate a potential leak from a bathroom bath/shower. The waste pipe, silicone and grout have already been checked and appear to be in good condition, but there is evidence of water ingress underneath the bath. I’d therefore like a second opinion to identify the actual source. I’m particularly interested in checking the concealed bath/shower mixer, its connections and the shower hose/outlet, as these could potentially be leaking. Ideally, I’d like the source identified before any tiles or enclosure are removed, and if access/opening-up is required, please let me know the additional cost first. My tenant is available this weekend, so if you have availability, please let me know your earliest time and quote to fix and to improve the tanking of the damaged flooring below the bath.

An old chrome bar mixer shower valve (fed by the boiler) and the lower bathtub taps are mounted on the same tiled wall. The drain is on the left-hand side. The Goal: Completely rip out the existing bathtub and the old shower valve, replacing them with a brand-new walk-in shower enclosure and a new shower unit. Key Requirements: Removal: Safely isolate the water, remove and dispose of the old P-shaped bathtub, dismantle the old shower bar/riser rail, and clear the area.Shower Tray & Screen: Install a 1700mm x 900mm rectangular shower tray on a raised plinth/riser leg kit (raised shower bottom) to ensure easy waste pipe access, along with a single, fixed glass shower screen. Plumbing & New Shower: Fit a brand-new, boiler-fed thermostatic bar mixer shower to the existing wall pipework. Cap off the lower bathtub taps securely inside the wall cavity. Align and connect the waste pipe to the new raised shower tray drain. Wall Finish: Fit concrete-effect waterproof shower wall panels over the entire enclosure area. This will seal the zone, glue straight over the old tiles, hide the bare wall gaps left by the tub, and completely mask the capped bathtub pipework. Materials Note: I will be buying and supplying the main materials directly from B&Q (including the new shower unit, 1700x900 shower tray, tray riser/leg kit, glass screen, concrete wall panels, and structural fitting kits). The installer only needs to supply standard plumbing consumables (pipes, caps, waste joints, and sealants/adhesives).

I’m fitting out a small garden prep kitchen in Coulsdon and need an experienced plumber to complete the water and waste connections. Everything is located very close together, so pipe runs are short. Scope: * connect incoming cold water supply * install hot/cold feeds to 2 sinks * connect a Flomasta 10L undersink stored water heater * fit suitable isolation valves * install the supplied pressure-relief valve and discharge arrangement in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions * connect sink wastes and traps * connect both sink wastes into the existing waste outlet * surface-mount pipework neatly to the wall * pressure-test and check all joints for leaks The electrical connection to the water heater will be carried out separately by an electrician. I’m happy for the plumber either to supply the small plumbing materials or tell me exactly what to purchase beforehand. Please only respond if you have experience installing small unvented/stored water heaters and pressure-relief discharge pipework. Hi, I need someone to professionally remove this wall radiator, cutting the pipes and closing them off safely. Pipes are coming from the wall (not the floor). This is a central heating radiator. We are getting new sofas which we need to put up against the wall, so want to remove this as it comes in the way. The pipes need to be cut off and as close to the wall as possible, i.e. shouldn’t be protruding out.
