To build and install wooden curtain pelmets (curtain boxes) to hide ceiling curtain tracks in three rooms. The pelmet should run from one corner of the wall to the other to fully cover the curtain track and create a clean built-in look.

Hang a wooden blind onto a window frame

I need three wooden blinds put up. They are from Blinds Direct so can share the instructions etc. I have put one up already - quite straight forward (see completed photo). See photos of the three windows that need doing. (We will remove the rest of curtains and poles etc). If you have your own power drill, screw drivers, hacksaw (for the pelmet) that would be ideal. We have a small step ladder that should be high enough for the job. I think this shouldn’t take more than 2 hours, including clean up. (I put up the kitchen one in about 35-45 mins).

Cord has come off so the blinds can’t sit level..

I bought both window poles too long I have a hax and just need to cut it I’m too afraid to use it hense why on here now also want both piles installed above the old rail you can see on the window so once cut both put on the window above the old timber .

The old set of wooden Venetian blinds needs to be taken down and removed (off premises by you) and a new set of similar blinds installed (which we have). They are 2cms wider than the original blinds so the old fixings need to come off and the new braces reset slightly further apart.

Need a white curtain pole put up. Is in 2 lengths, so need joining together in the middle and cut to size. Fixings already attached to the wall and ceiling

I have arranged for curtains to be fitted in my bedroom, but the installer noticed that the wall was not strong enough where the poles are to be fitted (they are partially hollow, although the house itself is Victorian and there has reasonably strong walls). They suggested wooden battens be glued and screwed into the wall to provide sufficient strength for the curtain poles. The screws will likely need to be fairly deep to bed into the bricks behind the hollow part of the wall

Installing three new wooden blinds to the architrave of a bay window. It requires fitting brackets for the blinds to attach to. This will be easier with an electric screwdriver but I don’t have one unfortunately.
