We're looking for a handyman or carpenter to inspect and repair what we believe is a rotten floorboard beneath our washing machine in Brockley/Lewisham. During the spin cycle, the washing machine vibrates excessively. The vibration is strong enough that it causes the kitchen worktop, oven and surrounding units to shake. The oven rattles loudly, and even the removable parts of the hob (pan supports and burner caps) have to be taken off before every spin cycle to reduce the noise. We'd like the floor inspected, the damaged floorboard repaired if necessary, and the washing machine stabilised to significantly reduce the vibration. If further issues are found (e.g. damaged joists or evidence of a leak), please let us know before carrying out any additional work. If you also have experience with any of the following, we'd be happy to discuss them separately: - Shower riser rail & curtain rail installation. - Removal of an old corroded stopcock with wall repair. - Installation of a garden tap.

The washing machine started to show an E:18 error and made a beeping sound. I drained the water from the machine using the black pipe in the bottom right hand side of the machine which drained about 2 litres of dirty water. The drain filter is currently stuck (the blue thing in the video) and it isn’t coming out. It used to turn all the way but is now only turning 45 degrees and it seems like something is stuck in the filter which is why the machine isn’t draining properly.

Hoover H-WASH 300 washing machine showing E03/E20 drainage error. Water was manually drained from the pump/filter area, but I did not fully remove the filter because it was difficult to refit previously.
