The main entrance door to our house faces Merri Parade in Northcote; and currently, as designed; allows for a great deal of noise intrusion into the house; We’ve had an acoustic engineering team evaluate the entire home and recommended specific technical elements to be introduced to minimise the road noise intrusion. The recommendation for the main door is as follows: Main Door Recommendations 1. Add Acoustic seals to frame e.g. Raven RP10, Raven RP150 or approved equivalent. 2. Add Acoustic seal to door bottom e.g. Raven RP8Si, Raven RP38 or approved equivalent. 3. Replace existing door with a 40 mm thick solid core timber door or a 45 mm solid laminated door rated to a minimum Rw > 32 What we require: An experienced carpenter, preferably with previous experience in installing acoustic doors, to review the current door installation; provide feedback on the specification below; and provide a quote for the work. 1. Replace the existing Door Header and Jam stops - Replace door stops (x3) with Raven RP10’s 2. Add a Door Bottom Seal - Add Raven RP38 door seal, 920mm 3. Add a Door Threshold Plate - Add Raven RP28 or RP29 threshold plate. 4. Hinges - Replace hinges with ball-bearing hinges *3 5. Repair the door frame where the current lock has been installed (and possibly replace the associated trim). 6. Alignment of the existing door to the door frame so that a tight seal is formed between the header, jams, bottom seal and threshold plate. 7. The current door is 40mm so we dont see a need to replace the door at present, but we would consider laminating the interior facing side with Acoustic tiles and possibly Acoustic Plywood.

Hi, looking for gutter and leaf/debris clearing/downpipe flushing services to rooftop pictured - 2 x 2 storey attached townhouses. There is a small section of roof (either side of picture) that is single storey - Access to the lower roof is via a single storey height ladder via back courtyard off rear lane - Access to the two-tiered second storey is from rear balcony (single storey height ladder) with internal access from the rear also - There is open guttering across the middle of the roof - There are fixed gutter guards on the gutters across the bottom of the picture (on both the 1 storey level and 2 storey level). On the (small) one storey level some jasmine has got in through the side and under the gutter guard and needs to be cut and pulled out. On the two storey level I can see there is some grass growing in one place through the gutter guard - gutter needs to be cleared out as far as possible. - Leaves and debris collect near air conditioning units on lower roof level and need clearing. - Due date: Needs to be done on Friday, 28 October 2022
