On the ground floor there is a big living and dining room, divided by a large doorframe with folding doors that can be pulled across. We have the doors closed so that the space can become two bedrooms, but it's not soundproof. There is enough depth inside the doorframe for a wall to be built in there - but we need it to be built so that we do not damage the wood and can be easily removed if our lease ends.I have some large foam panels that can be used for insulation inside the wall if you want to use them. The measurements of the door frame are approximately 2.5 metres x 2.4 metres. The depth is approx 25cm.

Looking to soundproof 1 x bedroom of a one bedroom flat. The room is 3.5m x 4.5m and has one window which I’d consider replacing with insulation. The room also has hard surfaces - the building which is mirrored. There is a door which could be sound proofed. The walls are hollow double brick rendered - 1966 build. Ceiling - no one above - empty cavity then tiled roof. The major noise is coming from downstairs mostly from tv echoing and hard wooden floor surfaces below. Hi Carpenters, Handymen I have a 2-bedroom flat with a wall between the bedrooms; one is the nursery where my newborn baby sleeps. This wall has a large metal-framed window and a glass door. I don’t have budget to shut the window and the door frame and extend the wall, so I’d like to put lining panels (ideally with some level of soundproofing) to cover the window and door on both sides of the wall. It’ll require removing / reattaching skirting board for proper finishing. I’ll provide lining panels (probably VJ100 or similar, looking at options). Looking for experience doing these types of jobs, a reasonable price and attention to detail. Not urgent, flexible with dates.
