Hi. I've got an old deck around the pool that needs replacing and need someone to look at the site and assess the work. I'm hoping the timber underneath is largely ok but I haven't opened up to look. There's about 250 lineal metres of I think 140mm (136x19?). Can you let me have an idea of cost and time to undertake the work....I'm assuming spotted gum or Merbau. NB The timber will need to be carried from the road, down to the deck area - and at a guess that's around 50-60m. Also, given that you won't know the condition of the framing underneath until you get here (to inspect or do the job) how would you quote/give me an estimate for any work required on the framing should it need it) Thank you! We have a small Blackbutt timber courtyard deck that needs to be replaced, it’s 3.5m x 3.5m (13sqm) and nailed to a treated pine frame. When first installed we had the area ground levelled compacted, plastic sheets were placed over the ground and a treated pine frame was built before the Bluckbutt timber was nailed on top. The first job was very well finished by a friend. In the last photo you can see there is a small section where a hatch can be lifted to access a sump drain below. We would like both the Bluckbutt timber and the treated pine frame to be replaced. We are replacing exactly as it currently is (Same dimensions, Same timber). We are interested in quotes for installation only.
