We currently have a very heavy and cumbersome gate on our deck made from the Merbau timber that the deck is made from. I would like it replaced with a light gate that is not opaque and that you can see through to the other side. Perhaps aluminum in colour? Open to suggestions of what will look better.

I have an existing deck in my backyard. However I have been told it is not a complying development. I need to get a full occupancy certificate and I can only get that if the deck is fixed. I need to cut off 1m of the deck from two sides that are next to the fence. Please see photos attached. Once the 1m of the deck is removed from the two sides I will need some basic landscaping done such as pebbles laid in that space.
