We have an old iron gate we are hoping to restore to put as our front entry gate. It is missing a vertical rail & we need to remove the current attachment and reapply a smaller bracket that we can attach to our fence post, as the current one is too wide for our post which is already in place. I imagine it will be a relatively simple job, we just don’t have the skills or tools to DIY. We are happy to deliver the gate to someone in the Newcastle area. Bottom socket the gate rests in is broken. To open the gate, you need to lift it up and open. As a result a lot of people can’t open the gate and they think it’s locked.
