Hi there! I have an existing timber decking to a balcony that is located about 100mm above an existing concrete slab. Leaves are gathering in the gap below the timber decking and I would like an number of access hatches or similar places in the decking to clean out the leaves. Timber decking is existing and is to be reused. Hinges and handles are to be provided by you. You will see in the photos I have partially removed the decking. We have a small Blackbutt timber courtyard deck that needs to be replaced, it’s 3.5m x 3.5m (13sqm) and nailed to a treated pine frame. When first installed we had the area ground levelled compacted, plastic sheets were placed over the ground and a treated pine frame was built before the Bluckbutt timber was nailed on top. The first job was very well finished by a friend. In the last photo you can see there is a small section where a hatch can be lifted to access a sump drain below. We would like both the Bluckbutt timber and the treated pine frame to be replaced. We are replacing exactly as it currently is (Same dimensions, Same timber).
