My studio apartment doesn’t have a built-in laundry. I need to connect my front-load washing machine to the existing kitchen plumbing (cold water and drain). The machine will be located a couple of metres away, not under the benchtop as it doesn’t fit there, so the hoses will run along the skirting and cross the bathroom doorway at floor level. I’m fine with surface-mounted hoses and no wall cutting.
