My washing machine isn’t draining water and I’m not sure how to fix it. I’m in an apartment and my dryer is on top of my washing machine so it’s hard to move and check the pipes.

My Samsung front loading washing machine made a big noise towards the end of a washing cycle, and since then has been making more noise than usual. I tried rotating the drum and it isn’t rotating as smoothly as it did previously so it seemed like the drum was out of alignment. My housemate mentioned that there was burning smell in the most recent cycle, and that his clothes had debris on them. I am hoping to understand whether the washing machine can be fixed, what the issue might be, and the costs involved; as well as whether it might be more cost efficient to buy a new washing machine instead.
