I need a Victoria Government recognised service and the successful bidder will need to liaise with my managing agent for access. All testing details and certification will need to be handed over to my managing agent once available. I understand that gas and electric are on a two-year cycle whilst the smoke detectors are annually. Looking for someone with an engineering, fabrication, workshop automation, or strong DIY/mechanical background to help design and build a bench-top devalving station for empty non-refillable cylinders. Purpose: safely and efficiently remove small brass threaded valves/necks from empty non-refillable cylinders such as Smartwhip-style N2O canisters, Billi/Zip tap CO2 bottles, and cream chargers, so the metal can be recycled. This is currently done manually with a rattle gun and special socket. I want to improve efficiency and safety by building a simple station where the cylinder is clamped securely and the valve area is guarded. Important: all cylinders are checked/vented before this step. This is not for gas filling, gas handling, or pressure work. It is only for mechanical removal of valves from already-checked cylinders. I still want fallback safety in case residual gas ever remains.
