I need a welder or metalworker to replace the two hinges on a wrought iron garden gate. This budget is for labour only. I will supply and pay for the hinges and fixings separately. Please do not include hardware costs in your offer. The gate: Single leaf, approximately 2 metres wide Open picket style, estimated 40–80kg Both the gate frame and the gate post are hollow steel square tube Street-facing front gate on a brick pier Existing hinges are old hand-made welded barrel hinges, rusted and worn Photos are attached — please look at them before making an offer. Scope of work: Support the gate, cut off the two existing welded hinges and grind the surfaces flush Weld the gate-side half of each new hinge to the gate frame. Tack weld and check alignment first, then complete the welds using a staggered sequence to avoid distortion Mark out, drill and bolt the post-side half to the hollow post using through-bolts with backing washers or plates, or rivnuts — not self-tapping screws alone, as the top hinge carries a tensile load Check the gate swings level, closes correctly and does not scrape Clean the welds and touch up all bare metal with cold galvanising primer and a matching topcoat Hinges: I will supply weld-on / bolt-on gate hinges rated to at least 150kg. Please tell me in your offer: What fixing method you would use on the hollow square post Whether you need me to purchase any specific bolts, rivnuts or backing plates so I can have them on site before you arrive I have a second gate of the same type. Looking for an experienced handyman or fencer to straighten a section of timber / boundary fence that is leaning into the garden. Happy for you assess whether the existing post can be reinforced or whether any posts or supports need replacing. Photos showing current condition. Please supply the required tools.

Hi Please see pictures attached I have a lattice on top of the fence that is roughly 1200 x 3000 mm It has bent out of shape and the plant needs to be cut off it I need it removed and replaced with a new one that blocks view : minimal holes

Our front fence is in need of some repair, specifically one or two of the main posts (inner posts, at gates) are loose and the railings connected to these have rotted at the connection points. I have attached a photo with some basic dimensions.
