Hi there! I have an existing timber decking to a balcony that is located about 100mm above an existing concrete slab. Leaves are gathering in the gap below the timber decking and I would like an number of access hatches or similar places in the decking to clean out the leaves. We have a small Blackbutt timber courtyard deck that needs to be replaced, it’s 3.5m x 3.5m (13sqm) and nailed to a treated pine frame. When first installed we had the area ground levelled compacted, plastic sheets were placed over the ground and a treated pine frame was built before the Bluckbutt timber was nailed on top. The first job was very well finished by a friend. In the last photo you can see there is a small section where a hatch can be lifted to access a sump drain below. We would like both the Bluckbutt timber and the treated pine frame to be replaced. We are replacing exactly as it currently is (Same dimensions, Same timber).
