I need a carpenter for prep work on my timber entry door and door frame so a new surface-mounted rim lock (Aqara U500, supplied, with template and instructions) can be fitted properly. The lock itself clips on easily; the real job here is the timber work: 1. FRAME REPAIR (main task): The old Lockwood rim lock’s keeper was mortised into the jamb, leaving a recessed cavity with old packing material (photos attached). This cavity needs to be chiselled square and patched with solid timber glued in and finished flush with the jamb, not just filled because the new lock’s keeper is surface mounted and its screws must bite into solid wood. This is an entry door, so the strike anchoring needs to be genuinely secure (long screws into the framing behind the jamb welcome). 2. DOOR HOLE: Enlarge the existing through-hole (currently ~32mm) to 50mm and drill two 12mm holes per the supplied template. The new lock needs a 40–45mm backset, so the hole position may need adjusting, if the new bore overlaps the old hole, plug and re-drill cleanly. 3. FIT & ALIGN: Mount the lock body and keeper, and make sure the door closes and locks smoothly. Door and frame faces need to be flush for this lock, so minor adjustment/trimming may be needed. No painting required (my painter is doing touch-ups separately) and no smart-home setup (I’ll handle pairing). Bring: drill, 50mm hole saw, 12mm bit, chisels, timber for patching, wood glue, screws. Looking for someone experienced with welding/brazing fabrication I need a custom shower strip drain modified by: * Drilling a hole in the base of the stainless strip drain. * Brazing/welding a 40mm (or 32mm if required) stainless outlet piece to the underside of the drain to create a custom shower waste outlet. * The joint must be watertight The copper outlet piece only needs to be approximately 30–40mm long. I need a low budget kitchen cabinet made to replace a very old cabinet that will be removed for concrete repairs. Am trying to do a like-for-like replacement, not a kitchen upgrade. Is only very small, L shaped cabinet with sink needs to be made and installed. Is replacing cabinet in the front of the images - white base, blue top in the photos. Thank you.
