I need a carpenter or handy man to install a laminate floating desk cross the length of my study. I have supplied the laminate which is pre cut to exact length. The desk will contact the walls of the study on three sides, I.e back of desk and both sides of desk See photo of an example of the installation.

This job is to assess and provide a quote to address the following: I have a timber floor on joists that is raised and a bit bouncy in some sections and sinking in others. This has progressively got worse over the years, to the point where bifold doors are unable to be opened. There is good access to the sub floor area. There is a bearer in line with the bifolds that has warped I need someone to assess the floor, doors and bearer Then provide a quote to address the issues.

Very carefully without damaging the existing kitchen and workmanship: -Modify the overhead kitchen cupboards to fit in an overhead microwave into an overhead cupboard. May need to move the dividers inside the cupboards to make room for the microwave. Narrower leftover cupboard spaces next to the microwave is fine rather than using filler pieces. May need to reinforce the cupboard to accommodate the weight of the microwave is fine. -Replace the existing overhead cupboard door at the microwave location with a half door covering the cupboard directly above the microwave and open cupboard for the microwave itself. All new cupboard doors are to match existing doors in colour and finish. -Realign the overhead cupboard doors so they are aligned up, at the moment there are big gaps and small gaps in between the doors. -Properly refix an existing loose end panel at the end of the kitchen bench. Replace buckled deck boards with thinner boards. Retaining wall is pushing existing boards together. We’re planning a home renovation and the deck will be demolished in 12 months so it’s a temporary measure to tide us over in the meantime. The area affected is roughly 7m x 1.5m plus one other small deck that needs 2 boards replaced. Frame and joists are ok. Budget excludes materials. - Due date: Flexible
