We'd like a high-quality wooden top inset, finished in a darker, warm timber tone with a smooth varnished finish, suitable for outdoor conditions. Scope of Work: Site inspection to measure and assess Source and cut timber (e.g., spotted gum, blackbutt, or similar) Prepare and install into the existing metal frame (flush fit preferred) Sand, varnish/seal for weather resistance (ideally a satin/matte finish) Optionally, repolish timber deck boards if skilled and available Requirements: Experience with custom joinery or outdoor carpentry Ability to work within a heritage setting (non-invasive fixing preferred) Must provide examples of previous similar work Timing: Flexible but ideally completed within the next few weeks. We’re looking for someone to supply, cut, and install a timber panel to create a new benchtop surface over an existing fixed bench in our office. Key Details: The timber should be similar to a SpecRite 2400mm x 900mm x 33mm Acacia panel, or equivalent. It will need to be cut into two pieces (1200mm x 900mm) to fit into our building lift. The two pieces will then need to be joined side-by-side onsite to form a single 2400mm x 900mm benchtop. The new panel will sit directly on top of the existing benchtop. Installation should be secure but removable, as we are in a rental space. No permanent fixings into the existing structure — suitable methods could include double-sided mounting tape, adhesive strips, or brackets attached only to the new panel. The final result should be stable, level, and cleanly joined.

I’m looking for a carpenter to build a custom shelf for displaying our chairs vertically in a shop. The shelf will be positioned against a large wall, but it must remain freestanding and movable, so it should be fitted with wheels for easy repositioning. This design will also allow us to store items behind it. The shelf needs to be sturdy enough to support four chairs per section, with each chair weighing approximately 10-12 kg. The approximate dimensions are L500 cm, W72 cm, H300 cm. Since the entrance to the shop is only 80-85 cm wide, the shelf must be constructed in multiple sections for easier transport and assembly inside the shop. To ensure maximum mobility and flexibility, the shelf should be designed in two parts, each equipped with durable wheels.
