I have housesitters in my house at the moment - I am in Brisbane for Christmas - and they said they tried to do a load of washing and it all came out dirty. Then when they tried again the machine started spewing out water from the water, not only from the door but from the sides and the detergent compartment as well.

Our front load washing machine has been sitting unused for about a year with the door closed — unfortunately, it was still a bit wet inside and now has some mould that needs to be properly cleaned out. I’ve also bought replacement connection hoses from Bunnings, but I’m not 100% sure if they’re the right ones or how to hook them up. There’s a Bunnings less than 10 minutes away if a quick swap is needed.
