Kitchen wall is wooden and I want to rip the wood off and repair the wall underneath if necessary. Need to rip a little peice off first and check the state of the wall.

An external door frame needs some work. There is a gap and it needs a better finish. I have checked with a door/window company and they've said that the best thing to do is expanding foam to fill the gaps, with some colour matched trims and silicone, as this will last longest and give it the best finish. Sadly, they've said it's not something they can do.
