blind manufacturer is Hunter Douglas in the US, supplier in UK being Thomas Sanderson. Blind mechanism is NOT roller blind but there is a mechanism which is operated by cord, which allows blind to be raised and lowered and for operating it as like wooden blinds so has option to allow light in or not.The mechanism has failed , so blind won't pull up having dropped down . not sure image will help
