My central heating seems to come on when my hot water comes on, I think it might be the actuator valve but would like to be sure

We’ve had a Nest system installed for around four years now, but unfortunately, it has never worked quite as well as we’d hoped. Despite repeated reassurance from our original plumber that everything is functioning correctly, we continue to face a number of issues: We frequently run out of hot water, especially in the mornings. The heating seems unpredictable - sometimes coming on at odd times and at other times not at all. Our energy bills are unusually high compared to similar households, and we suspect this may be due to a fault or inefficiency within the smart system. At this point, we’d really like to have a technician or plumber with solid experience working with Nest systems come and assess our setup. Navien oil boiler Three leaks water pouring everywhere. One from diverter valve and other valves. Hot water working for 20 minutes and no heating Two air valves one diverter valve and two isolation valves need replacing. And possibly other issues to deal with once this problem is sorted. I’m only interested in stopping the leaks and get hot water working without having to turn heating on . Thanks

I need the gas pipes increased from the meter to the boiler upstairs which is approx 5 meters of pipework to be replaced, so the property can pass a gas safety certification. Meter is underneath the stairs and boiler is in back bedroom.

I posted a job on here recently about my boiler having hot and cold problems. An engineer came out and said I needed a new plate heat exchanger and my boiler is leaking from the cold inlet valve and sump. I was quoted £1,104 including VAT. Just looking to see if I can get a cheaper price.

Our thermostat has connection problems, meaning the heating won’t turn on. We’ve tried all the troubleshooting suggestions in the manual and nothing has worked.

Essentially our boiler is in a slightly annoying position and we’d like to move it 30cm to the right on the adjacent wall. It would be directly under the heating pipes so no major pipework needed, I can also help with labour if necessary. There’s also a small additional job, an old inactive gas pipe on the other side of the room need to be shortened to make room for a cupboard space. It’s a 5 minute job but requires a gas safe engineer to do which I am not. Photos of each included, the gas pipe that needs removing is the photo with the green circles.

I need an electrician for a FIVE jobs. Should take approx 5/6hours on Sunday: Fit new electric oven (needs to be hard wired with a dual cooker connection unit. Fit new induction hob (hardwired - the big red cooker switch is already there) Fit new kitchen ceiling light (bar of LED spotlights) - I do not have a ladder. Fit under cabinet LED lighting and connect to main light switch. Fit new smart thermostat (Drayton) I’ve bought all the items I think you’ll need but you may need to provide wiring / trunking - I am not an expert. Please let me know any materials or items your might need to complete the job. For the oven / hob please also check the ampage is safe for the total combined electrical load

I'm unable to control the temperature on my oven, it will just keep getting hotter and hotter, so I suspect the thermostat needs replacing.

My boiler is an unvented cylinder boiler. It was working fine but it didn’t have hot water since last night. I’ve checked the main power which is fine.

Boiler Ariston WRC-NSF Hot water runs out quickly. We do have hot water in the morning but for 5 mins.

My Vaillant boiler has stopped working. It’s an old boiler and I have recently had Val to look at it before they came in. It was working for about 4 to 6 hours a day before losing pressure. Ironically after they have come in to look at it they fiddled with it and completely broke it. They have now quoted me for a brand-new boiler instead of fixing this one. I know the boiler is good. It just needs someone to at least bring it back to where it was before the Val guy came in. Right now, it loses pressure immediately with a sign saying “F 22” I’m sure it can be fixed. Would love someone to pop in and see if they can help. Many thanks.

I have an issue with my boiler / thermostat. Boiler works but the combination isn't working and boiler is just “on” Thermostat being used is a Google Nest If it’s a quick fix, great. If not, I’d like the thermostat disconnected so we can go back to manual hence the budget is more of a call out fee not a long job

Hi, I have two thermostats next to the combi boiler that I was to replace with a Drayton Wiser dual zone thermostat. I'm looking for someone who understands the wiring to help get this done. All equipment already bought.

The expansion vessel and safety valve need replacing. To supply and fit a new remote expansion vessel and new safety valve. Need quote to include A. fees (mine will be extra), parts and labour. Had a quote so want to compare before I take it up. See boiler pics below. I understand that the task is complicated, as its an older model. Thanks!

Viessman boiler is showing error code 379, which means: The flame is missing or too weak. The ignition electrode must be checked and cleaned, as well as its cable and plug. Need help getting it working again!
