I’m looking for an experienced heating/HIU engineer to diagnose an issue with the heating controls in my flat. I have an HIU (Heat Interface Unit) and a wall-mounted heating controller/thermostat. The wall controller does not appear to be communicating with the HIU correctly — changing the heating settings/turning the heating on does not seem to trigger the HIU or radiators. The HIU has previously had a faulty actuator valve head replaced. The previous engineer replaced the actuator and got the heating working, but I don't think the wall controller/controls were properly investigated. I therefore need someone who understands BOTH: HIUs / Heat Interface Units Heating thermostats, programmers and control systems The communication/connection between the wall controller, receiver/relay and HIU Electrical/wiring diagnosis where appropriate I’m looking for someone to diagnose the actual fault rather than simply replace the actuator again. Please only apply if you have experience with HIUs AND heating controls/thermostats. I can provide photos of the HIU and wall controller, as well as the previous engineer's report.

The mains fuse for the heating system has tripped and the fuse in the spur box for the boiler has blown. The waterpump on the underfloor heating manifold looks damaged and likely a cause to the issue. Possibly require a new pump? Can send photos if required.

Hello, I need a boiler service certificate for a boiler in my restaurant. I believe the boiler itself is a domestic-type boiler, although it is installed in a commercial property. I have attached a photo of the boiler so you can check. The boiler is working perfectly fine. My main reason for arranging this is that my landlord has asked me to provide a valid boiler service certificate. I would therefore need the inspection/service to be carried out by someone who is properly qualified and authorised to issue a valid certificate. I would prefer not to have unnecessary work carried out on the boiler since it is working fine, but if servicing is required in order to issue the certificate, that is absolutely fine. Could you please let me know if you can do this and how much you would charge? Thank you.

I have checked and is in working order, all the status lights are green which indicate the hive is connected and working and the same for the boiler as we have hot water. However the thermostat still does not send signal to heat up

Cylinder Heater Maintenance and Repair Currently no hot water at the flat. Heated Element Replacement needed. • We need to install 2x titanium-coated heated elements (we will purchase from Screwfix or any recommended supplier) in our indirect unvented cylinder heater in a 1-bed flat as they corroded. Parts to be ordered separately and not included in price here. - system pressure was low. I topped up the pressure and reset the boiler; however, the boiler still failed to fire. The appliance was displaying the fault code shown in the photographs provided. I referred to the manufacturer's instructions, which identify this fault as relating to the gas valve. I then contacted the manufacturer directly to confirm, and they advised that the fault is associated with the gas valve and ignition electrodes, with replacement of these components being the recommended course of action. The active fault codes displayed on the front of the boiler provide a clear indication of the fault condition being detected by the appliance, and the manufacturer has confirmed that these codes relate to the gas valve and ignition electrodes.
