Fitting windows on a balcony on a second floor flat

Our flat is starting to get very hot during the summer and we have two indoor cats fascinated by the big outdoors. The two windows are 110x130cm and open inwards. I have bought this DIY mesh from Amazon. Given the windows are large, and we live on the 4th floor, I would like a professional to come round and do it.

I have bars on my front windows and one of my back windows. The nuts can be removed but the bolts are embedded in the wall. This means that they need to be cut off with and angle grinder to avoid having bolts sticking out of the wall forever.

I have two tilt and turn windows and two glass doors (all double glazed) that face a very noisy road. I believe the rubber seals have worn out, and there may also be gaps in the caulking. I am looking for someone experienced in soundproofing to help with properly replacing the seals and reducing noise significantly.

I would like to replace a small sash window in a first-floor flat. The window measures approximately 65 cm x 43 cm (excluding the frame and sill) and is directly opposite the door to a bathroom that has no window of its own, so it is key for ventilation. The current window is single-glazed and not draught-proofed, so it lets a significant amount of cold air in even when closed. The window cannot be accessed from the outside except by putting a ladder in the garden of the ground-floor flat. I would like a uPVC top-hung awning window with clear glass to replace this, installed by an installer who is registered with FENSA or Certass and is able to provide a FENSA or Certass certificate for the installation.

I have a (high) first floor bathroom window with a 120cm exterioir wooden sill which had rotted badly and needs to be replaced.

Sash window repair. The meeting rail of the top sash has rotted and come away from the glass. I need a replacement meeting rail made and fitted back on. It is 130cm wide.

The opening mechanism on one of my windows is broken. When I turn the handle, the window does not open anymore. It looks like one of the pins on the sides of the window, that latches into the window frame for secure closing, is not connected to the mechanism anymore.

I have a bathroom window where the screw holes for the handle are worn and the screws will not hold the handle in place. I believe the mechanism needs to be replaced. It has 4 bolts and I think the window is aluminium. Budget is £100 but if it can be done for less, that would be great.

I’ve had new double glazed French windows installed on my boat but the job is less than satisfactory. The doors are in and secure, but the fitting is awful and unfinished. I need someone who can use beading and silicon and cut pieces of wood to ‘make good’ what has been done. I’ve included pics of the shoddy job as they chose to leave it. I have wood, some silicon, white spirit, wood stain and brushes. You’d need to bring tools. I need someone who can show pics of previous work as I’ve now lost trust! Thank you thank you

I need help fixing a sash window handle that has come off.

The wooden frame is getting lose

The paster under the front bay window is letting in water and started to crumble. We need this removed, re plastered and repainted. Then the window will need to be re-caulked to stop the water getting in.

I have very old metal window frames in my flat. They have rusted and recently, one of the levers for the window just snapped off, and a part of it has gone missing. It needs repairing. I've shown the broken one in an image and a functioning one to compare. Also, one of the other windows has a hinge that is about to snap so it would be good to repair this too. And another handle is quite wobbly.

I have a window that won’t close, the hinge is bent

I'm posting a small job here. One of the windows is not closing properly. I'm fairly sure that a small part of the opening mechanism—possibly a screw—has come loose and fallen off. As a result, the window now hangs slightly downward when opened and cannot be closed properly. I've attached a picture of the opposite window, which is a mirror image of the damaged one. The missing part has come off the upper section of the closing mechanism. It is possible that the upper hinge needs to be replaced.
