Re-post (tasker disappeared) - need new “heads”? On Ethernet cables. The plastic end points on the cables don’t plug into my switch. All points need testing and labels. An experienced expert in setting up home networks is ideal as once you leave I need good connections from all points through the switch through to our GB fiber internet. I would also like a quick chat on cost to setup a NAS and network printer, transferring data from an old pc I want to decommission because I just got a new one, and setup of a media pc. Hello! I’m dealing with a computer part replacement issue, though this has now caused standard IT issues. I am in the process of upgrading my PC. I have so far installed a new graphics card, RAM and SSD, all of which have gone very well. I bought a new CPU as well. On removing the CPU, it looks like my motherboard’s connectors aren’t the right shape. The current CPU - intel from 2018 - is a perfect square, but my new one (intel core ultra 5 unlocked series 2) is rectangular. After realising it didn’t fit, I reattached my old CPU but now the computer won’t turn on properly/transfer to the monitor. I think I may need a new motherboard if I want an upgraded CPU, so the job might be to come and attach a new motherboard and advise me on which to get. Happy to give photos. Thanks!
