The dishwasher isn’t working. It’s a SMEG dishwasher. It makes a weird sound when you try to run a cycle and isn’t running the cycle properly. It’s not draining the water. I think something is blocked, but unsure what. I’ve cleaned out and checked the filter, made sure there was salt and rinse aid, but nothing has worked/helped. I purchased a dishwasher late July 2025 and I got a plumber from Airtasker to come to install the machine only to wake up this morning to find my kitchen flooded. I called the emergency services of my Housing Association, they sent a plumber who switched off the stop tap. But said that the dishwasher was poorly installed an that the water hose was too short. He said he could not touch it as the item was not the property of the Housing Association. I have now gone out to buy a new hose of 2.5m and would like the new hose connected and the old hose removed. Also, to ensure that there is no leak when the stop tap is turned on. I will be in until 1 pm.
