The main challenge: the house has a clip-lock (Klip-Lok) metal roof with NO roof cavity, so cables can't be run through the ceiling space. All cabling will need to be run externally, neatly along/under the eaves and fascia, and then into the house to the NVR location. Single storey, tin roof, easy roof access, hatch about 10m from the area to be worked Looking for an experienced cabler to run cable through the roof space for a 5.1 home theatre setup. All materials supplied. The job - three cable runs through the roof: 1. Subwoofer cable. Run a 20m XLR cable from the TV cabinet on the front wall, up through the wall cavity, across the roof space, and down to the rear corner of the room for the subwoofer. Important: this cable must be pulled from the rear end first with the small connector leading, so the large XLR plug doesn’t have to travel through the cavity. 2. Two rear speaker runs. Speaker cable from the same cabinet position, up and across the roof space, down to two brush plate exit points either side of the couch. 3. Fit the two brush plates at the rear wall exit points. Also needed: • Cut to length and fit supplied banana plugs to all five speaker runs: front left, front right, centre, rear left, rear right • Leave insulation tidy and correctly reinstated in the roof space Distances (per run): • Front wall to ceiling: 2.3m • Across roof space: approx 4.7m straight line • Ceiling down to rear wall exit: 2.3m Materials supplied by me: • 20m balanced XLR cable for the subwoofer • 50m of 12 AWG speaker cable (420 strand) • 20x spring clip banana plugs (red and black, 4.0-6.0mm) • 2x brush wall plates Property: • Single storey, standard 2.4m ceilings • Roof space is accessible • Carpet tiles throughout (stuck down) Please quote for labour. Garage Gutter is leaking from a few places, it needs repairing or replacing whatever is easiest and cheapest. Flow of the gutter is also a problem. Some roof panels that I changed myself are causing leaks too over all these issues to be fully rectified.
