I now have 4L of the correct paint, but the real estate agent is insisting a qualified painter does the work. I am capable of painting the walls but I’m too broke to pay standard rates for a qualified painter. I'm happy to do the work and have a qualified painter sign off on it if that's a cheaper option, but either way will need a painter to be a point of contact for the real estate agent to confirm the painting has been completed to an acceptable standard. Straight up summary - I touched up my wall and didnt like the finish - so I tried the brush and it left this streaky residue - it’s a natural white standard dulux colour - the 1st attempt left those shadowed areas. I then lightly sanded it and with a slightly-damp soapy cloth wiped over it - waited for it to dry and im back in the same predicament . Some areas take to the paint and then the shadows and faint white look still appear. It looks the same when I apply to when it dries - it doesn’t all blend in. I have about 400ml of the white paint in one tin and 100ml in another : it’s approx 1.54m x 1.2 area spot on a thin plaster wall. I presume a painter has seen this a million times and can solve it 1st time?
