I had a carpet layer cut the carpet, and was about to lay it, then he realised it had to be glued down, and not pinned down. I paid him, on the assumption he would come back, but he hasn’t returned. The carpet has been cut for the 3 bedrooms and hallway, and new underlay has been stapled to the floor. Considering these 3 rooms don’t have to have a join, I’m Hoping we can lay this with smooth edge, so we don’t have to remove the stapled down underlay. There is one additional bedroom that can be glued down. All up it is 17 broadloom metres of carpet. Please Note: half the job has been done in that the carpet has already been cut for upstairs. . Tape used to stick down temp flooring has left residue. We have tried the following methods to remove it, Goo remove, eucalyptus oil, metho, degreaser. I have several videos. This is at doncatser shopping centre with 24 hour access - must be removed by 7am This needs to be done asap and cannot leave any damage to the floor.
