I have two matching outdoor wall lights that require repair. Both lights have developed the same fault: the large metal shade/lamp-holder section has separated from the smaller upper bell attached to the gooseneck arm. The original metal fittings, shades and glass covers are all in good condition and I want to retain the existing lights rather than replace them. From inspection, the issue appears to be with the internal E27 lamp-holder/mounting assembly. The plastic lamp-holder and/or the hardware that mechanically connects it to the mounting bracket inside the upper bell appears to have failed with age. I’m looking for a licensed electrician who can: * Repair 2 identical fittings. * Inspect the existing E27 lamp-holder and internal mounting arrangement. * Replace the lamp-holder and/or threaded nipple, retaining hardware or mounting components as required. * Mechanically secure the large shade back to the upper bell so the fitting is properly supported. * Reconnect/terminate the existing wiring correctly. * Check that the conductors have not been damaged or strained. * Refit the existing glass covers and bulbs. * Ensure the fittings remain suitable/weather-protected for outdoor use. * Test both lights for safe operation once completed. Important: I would strongly prefer to preserve the existing metal shades, gooseneck arms, wall plates and glass, as the lights match the architecture of the house. The failed internal components appear relatively standard, so I expect suitable replacement E27 lamp-holders/mounting hardware can be sourced rather than replacing the entire light fitting. Photos attached show: 1. the failed fittings and exposed mounting hardware; 2. the lamp-holder assembly; 3. an intact matching light showing how the completed fitting should sit. Happy for the electrician to either supply the required parts or advise what needs to be purchased. Please include/indicate parts separately from labour if possible.

I have a brand-new Geely 7kW Type 2 EV Home Wall Charger, which I will supply. My newly built house already has a dedicated EV charging outlet/connection installed in the garage by the builder. The EV circuit was installed as part of the original electrical installation and was confirmed by the builder/electrician at handover as being for EV charging. I am simply looking for a qualified/licensed electrician to connect the supplied Geely wall charger to the existing EV connection. Existing EV infrastructure The switchboard appears to have a dedicated EV circuit labelled “GARAGE N/L 15”, protected by a: Hager ADM432T RCBO 32A 3P+N (three-phase + neutral) 30mA Type A RCD protection 230–415V AC Hager's technical specifications confirm the ADM432T is a 4-pole, 3P+N, 32A Type A 30mA RCBO, which is consistent with the dedicated three-phase EV circuit installed at the property. The garage also has the dedicated EV connection/isolator already installed. Work required Please: 1. Inspect the existing EV connection and confirm it is suitable for the supplied Geely 7kW charger. 2. Connect and securely mount the Geely 7kW Type 2 wall charger to the existing EV circuit. 3. Reuse the existing EV circuit and protection — no new circuit is required unless you identify a compliance or capacity issue. 4. Test the installation and charger under load. 5. Confirm correct RCD/earthing operation. 6. Provide the required electrical compliance documentation/certificate on completion. I am not looking to have a new EV circuit installed. The house already has the EV infrastructure; I just need the supplied wall charger connected to it by a qualified electrician.
