Looking for someone to stain three timber decks at a property in Hurstbridge. The decks have just been professionally cleaned with stripping chemicals, so they should be ready to stain. I'd like you to supply the stain as well as the labour — please include materials in your offer and tell me what product you plan to use. About the photos: two of the three decks are shown as they are now, straight after the clean. The rear deck photo is an old one — I'll swap it for a current shot next time I'm at the house. I've also attached a photo of the front decks after their last stain so you can see the colour and finish I'm after. I'm having trouble getting offical measurements, but I can head out to verify before we agree on the final price. My estimate is 60m2. In the mean time, I've picked an arbitrary budget. Hi, I’m looking for an appropriately licensed/insured tradesperson to investigate and repair what appears to be a small roof leak above our bathroom. There is visible water staining on the bathroom ceiling near the cornice (photo attached). There is only a roof above this area, so I would like the roof/roof space inspected to determine where the water is entering. Looking for someone who can: Inspect the roof and roof space above the affected area Identify the source of the water ingress Repair/seal the source of the leak Check the affected ceiling/plasterboard for any significant damage Advise whether the ceiling needs repair or simply stain-blocking/repainting once completely dry Please include any materials required in your offer, or let me know separately if materials are likely to be additional. I’ve recently had a panel lift/sectional garage door retrofitted to my garage in Carindale. Because the garage wasn’t originally set up for this type of door, there weren’t suitable fixing points in the ceiling where the installer needed to attach the overhead tracks/brackets. The garage door company is coming back to rectify the installation, but before they return I’d like suitable structural fixing points installed above the ceiling. There is good access to the roof/ceiling space via a manhole, with plenty of room to work. I’m looking for an experienced carpenter/framer who can assess the existing roof/ceiling framing and install appropriate timber blocking/noggins or other suitable structural framing at the required locations, so the garage door installer has solid fixing points for their brackets. We recently had blinds removed from around these timber doors/windows, and the top section has been left looking unfinished. I’m not exactly sure what needs to be done, but I’d like the top of the doors/windows to look the same as the timber sides, so it looks like there is one continuous, finished timber border all the way around. This may mean a new architrave to match the left and righthand sides Looking for someone experienced with carpentry/joinery who can look at the photos, advise on the best way to do this, and complete the work. Kitchen & cabinetry dismantle – Bowral – 12/13 Sept We’re looking for an experienced kitchen installer, cabinetmaker or carpenter to carefully dismantle a kitchen and other cabinetry at a home in Bowral. Dates: 12–13 September, with 14 September available if required. Everything is being reused, so the cabinetry needs to be carefully dismantled, labelled and organised rather than demolished. The job includes: * Kitchen cabinetry and island * Stone/marble benchtops * Vanities * Built-in wardrobes * Banquette seating * Associated doors, panels, shelving and fittings Photos are attached and further measurements/details can be provided. Everything will need to be dismantled carefully, with components labelled and screws/fittings kept together, then organised and stacked in the garage ready for collection by our delivery driver. There are stone/marble benchtops, so please let us know if you’re comfortable removing these for reuse or if you recommend they are handled separately. See corner insert that rotted away because of leak from roof. Now leak is repaired. So need area cleaned up, then replaced with new timber (will be supplied). Can be glued or otherwise held together. (One part of the material may be asbestos material so best to be gentle). It's about 4 meters high, so need ladder
