I’m looking for an experienced carpenter or joiner to install a slim windowsill along the full length of a window in my Manly studio apartment. The run is approximately 7.4 m long. I’d like the sill to be no more than 90 mm deep, with a softly rounded front edge. My preference is light natural oak with a matte finish, though I’m open to soft white if that will work better. I want it to look like one continuous sill, with neat, discreet joins. The existing painted ledge isn’t uniformly flat, and I don’t know what material is underneath it. I need someone to inspect it, measure accurately, advise how to level and securely fix the new sill, then supply, cut, finish and install it. Please avoid fixing into the window frame or interfering with the window or blinds.
