Hi, House located in Pyrmont (near Sydney CBD) and I’m looking for a reliable and experienced carpenter/handyman to replace my entrance door, install two locks, and repair a small section of the door frame. Work details: 1, Replace entrance door + install locks The existing entrance door is damaged and is slightly smaller than a standard door. I will purchase a standard solid timber door from Bunnings (2040 x 820 x 40mm). I will paint the door first, then you will install it. The new door will require 2 door locks: 1 lock will be transferred from the old door, 1 lock will be a new lock (I will purchase it). The door will be hung using 3 hinges. 2, Door frame repair (lock strike area) There is a damaged section around the latch/strike hole on the door frame. The damaged timber possibly need to be cut out and replaced with a new piece of timber. I have marked the area in the photo with a green circle. Preferred timeframe: to be completed between 28 January and 5 February. Note: After I post this task, I’ll likely only check Airtasker once per day, so my replies may not be immediate. One set of existing glass sliding doors, 4.7m wide x 3m high to be removed and disposed of. The door has 6 leafs in total , each approx 800mm wide. One fixed leaf and two sliders to each side. The unit is half a level up above street level, so can potentially take the individual door leafs out through the window straight out to the street level. I need this to be done on the 24th October. The doors are in good condition and can be re-used.

Replace old sliding shower door

Require sliding door to be installed for a small bathroom. I have a painted and ready hollow door and a wall mount runner/pelmet. Door will be similar to a barn door in that there is no cavity. I dont think the job will be complicated for someone handy, but i'd like it done well. I've checked the runner fits above narrow gap above the frame and other logical items. Door frame - The current door frame is old school metal. - Open to suggestions, but a good solution seems to be to fill in the door jamb so it's flush, then add a 5mm x 40mm trim around the inside wall to frame it (have the door sitting flush against the frame when closed and running 5mm off the wall). I can: - repair any minor damage to plaster or wall paint that occurs in the process. - paint the frame after the door is installed. If the pelmet allows approx 2cm extra space when completly open, I should be able to do this and put a rubber stopper on the runner later. Door Install - Wall mount "forerunner pelmet". The wall is cement/brick. I can supply hammer drill, plugs and screws. - I think a 10mm spacer will be required behind it. - The pelmet will need to be cut shorter, so will require a grinder. I have a hand saw. - The pelmet will need to be installed with the door attached, i can help hold the door if required. I have measurements and sketches of how it should fit. Work required in 2 or so wks.

The door only needs the handle hole drilled, using the old door as a template. The existing hinges can be reused — same positions, no adjustments needed. To save space need do change 3 doors do adding door . Door is 2.5cm thick and the current gap inside is only 2.5cm . I can accept internal track or barn door solution but the vent wall part not sure if it’s strong enough . please offer pricing and solution

Timber from Bunnings or similar, cut to size, sand edges, apply varnish to all sides and allow to dry. Remove and replace the five slats once varnish is complete and dry.

***CAR/UTE REQUIRED (Vehicle to fit a door inside for transport) **PRICE - just for labour cost - I'd pay for the door itself/bring receipt. I need someone who has experience/knows how to replace a door (internal door, hollow core I believe), to replace my current bathroom door with a new one. I've got a battered in hole damaged, so believe replacing the entire door the easiest way without seeing noticeable signs of repair. I'd want to keep the existing door handle and towel rack holders (all attached pictures), so would be unscrewing those, drilling/putting those back ideally the same way as before onto the new door, and installing the door. I think current door has 2 hinges. I've had a look and found what I think would be an okay match on Bunnings. I've measured my current door and the measurements are approximately: 2000 mm x 715 mm x 33 mm. There's different sizes for the Bunnings door I thought would be fine, but closest match I can see is the: 2040 mm x 720 mm x 35 mm. Unsure if anything then needs to be cut down, or it may be the same/very similar door they have used here.
