Patch hole in gyproc, roughly 12cm diameter. 2 Coats, sand and 2 top coats with last coat covering the entire wall area. Paint trims as well.

Hi Everyone, I’m just trying to get an understanding of how much this paint repair should cost as the agent/landlord has now claimed $1,800+ for this job for paint and removal of hooks (which I am able to remove myself easily given time). For me this is an insane claim (likely with the idea of extorting the cost of repainting the whole apartment while only few areas need fixing including the water damage being claimed in couple of pictures here). That was when I was trying to use everyday household cleaning spray to get the hooks out (which ran down the wall making it appear as water damage) but realised not gonna work. The adhesive hook on the wall ripped the paint out while I was trying to remove it, hence left the others not to damage further. Depending on the remedy agreed, I may be allowed to do those repairs myself. In that case, this task will be assigned to the tasker accordingly (as I am no painter nor a tradesman). Of course, with the appropriate cost applicable for this task. $99 is just to put a number for the task, so I could get some quotes and ideas of how much it should cost to fight back. Hence, I would highly appreciate if this community could give me an idea of an approximate it should cost to just repair those areas. Thank you so much in advance.

I have a bedroom that needs painting. It is about 4.5 x 4.5X m, and has no cupboards. It is currently white but is going to be painted dark green on the walls only (4 walls). There are two traditional casement windows on one side, but they are currently white and will stay white. The ceiling is white and will stay white. The skirting boards and door surround all need to be carefully painted green too, as there is carpet (see image). There is also some damage to the walls in 3 places that need to be fixed before painting, which may take time. This needs to be done in March 2026, and will need multiple coats. I think this is a day prep (the walls and getting the tape up) and two days of painting, as we will need at least two coats, probably 3. I do not have parking in Potts Point, so that needs to be factored in. I do have a ladder and the paint, but nothing else. Work from home, so happy to be here at early or late times. But needs to be done in March. Happy to inspect to finalize quote. Professional painters only - heritage buulding I dont want issue with the quality.
