Hi there I am looking for a qualified plumber to undertake the following works. 1. Repair the existing dishwasher machine (doesnt work, but light comes on). If unrepairable, Supply and install a new dishwasher, and remove and dispose existing. 2. Replace the current small kitchen sinks / basins with 1 large sink / basin. 3. We have a 1.23m by 0.45m double bowl sink and drain board. We are looking to get this replaced by a single bowl sink and drain board. I’ve bought the sink with the closest measurements 1.2M by 0.5m. This means the sink falls short by about 3ish cm on the width side and is about 5cm too long on the length side. Looking for someone to help with replacing the sink, as well as figuring out how to make the countertop work with the sink. If possible, see whether a cutout from one side can be stuck on the the other side - failing which a countertop replacement might be needed. Countertop is laminate

Kitchen sink seems to have dark dirt and stinks here and there. Not sure what’s going on. Tried to use drain cleaner but didnt help much.

The The metal plug/strainer assembly (the part that sits in the sink hole and acts as both a filter and a push-down stopper) has detached from the drain pipe beneath the sink. It appears the issue is a missing nut or fastener. I can see the thread/bolt from the plug assembly hanging down below the sink, and I can see the pipe with the corresponding hole, but the piece that secures them together is gone. How to Fix It (As I See It) This should be a straightforward job for someone with basic tools and confidence: Obtain a suitable nut/fastener to fit the existing bolt/thread. Unscrew/detach the immediate section of the drain pipe below the sink Properly seat and secure the metal plug assembly onto the sink hole from above. Fasten it securely to the pipe thread from below using the new nut. Reattach the rest of the drain pipe and ensure everything is tight and sealed (a quick water test would be ideal). I believe this is a simple handyman or maintenance fix and does not require a licensed plumber. I just want someone confident to do the job properly so I don't have leaks.

Pipes under our kitchen sink are leaking and we’re not sure of the exact cause. We suspect it might be related to the Puretec water filter that’s installed. Looking for an experienced plumber or handyman to inspect the area, find the source of the leak, and repair it.
