General repair of Gyprock wall

We have a hole in the ceiling due to water leak. The water leak is now fixed so need to close the ceiling with patchwork and repaint. Or even install an access panel for future use. It is a 600x300 hole in the ceiling. Images attached for reference.

There is big wet patch on the carpet in my walk in wardrobe. Wall is adjoining to Bathroom, but plumber has checked from the bathroom side and cany find the reason, Next we get it checked from roofer thinking it might the leak from broken tile and he couldnt find the leakage from roof. Might have to cut the gyprock wall and look inside.
